The Johns Hopkins Archaeological Museum in collaboration with the Egyptian Embassy and the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Washington DC invites you to join us in celebrating the long-awaited opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Cairo. We will host a livestream of the Presidential Opening Ceremony on Saturday, November 1, from 1:30–2:30 pm in Gilman 50.
In conjunction with the broadcast, the Archaeological Museum (Gilman 150) will be open for special visiting hours from 12-4pm. Stop by before or after the livestream to explore our newly reinstalled displays and share in this historic occasion for Egypt and the museum world.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend the event.
