The Johns Hopkins Archaeological Museum invites you to join us in celebrating the long-awaited opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Cairo. We will host a livestream of the Presidential Opening Ceremony on Saturday, November 1, from 12–2 pm in Gilman 50.

In conjunction with the broadcast, the Archaeological Museum (Gilman 150) will be open for special visiting hours from 11 am–3 pm. Stop by before or after the livestream to explore our newly reinstalled displays and share in this historic occasion for Egypt and the museum world.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend the event.
